Beginners Rock Climbing Course in North wales You’ll start at the beginning with the equipment you’ll be using, before moving onto some local rock. You’ll learn about movement on rock, essential knots and belaying as well as having some fun climbing whilst being in the beautiful mountains of Snowdonia.

South Wales Sport Climbs covers the area to the south of the Brecon Beacons, spanning the land and sea cliffs from the River Wye on the Welsh border to Pembrokeshire in the west. The area is home to a wealth of sport climbing on a multitude of venues ranging from small inland quarries to extensive limestone sea cliffs. Wales is a country part of the island of Great Britain and of the United Kingdom. Apart from the classic rock climbing locations, the Gower, to the south of Swansea, is the second largest rock climbing area in South Wales. North Wales also offers a great depth and variety of bouldering. Wales is also a scrambling mecca and a hiking paradise.

North Wales Climbing has become very popular over the last few years due to it being very accessible to all abilities, limited driving time, good indoor climbing walls, amazing scenery, nice bars and restaurants and professional guides. One of the best campsites in North Wales is close to the area. This is the campsite at Dolwyddelan Castle. Bryn Tirion Farm is a site that is in such a beautiful area that the views from your tent are sensational and if you are travelling light, there is even a bunkhouse.
